The Westfield Athenaeum offers newspapers back to 1782, local history & genealogical resources at the Reference desk. The Archives contains ledgers from 1673, over 120 original manuscript collections, & photograph collections. The Edwin Smith Museum features an early colonial kitchen, Revolutionary & Civil War memorabilia as well as displays on Westfield’s early industrial growth including the canal.
The Athenaeum is handicapped accessible; the museum is not.
