The Dewey House is handicapped accessible.

WHHS began in 1901 & continues to preserve history through maintaining the Dewey House and by providing educational historical talks at its meetings in Oct., Dec. & May. The Dewey House, built by the Dewey brothers in 1735, is a walk back into Colonial Westfield. Two open houses are held each year, as well as student tours. Appointments can be made for a special showing.

The Historical Society papers are held at the Westfield Athenaeum, where you will find copies of many of the historical talks, original manuscripts of Westfield, Mass 1669-1969 book, and meeting minutes.
