Special Collections at the Jones Library houses extensive collections that focus on the history of Amherst and the surrounding Pioneer Valley.

It is designed to be both a scholarly research center and a popular reading and exhibit space for the general public. Visitors come from around the world to view the library’s Emily Dickinson and Robert Frost Exhibit Room. The library’s Dickinson and Frost Collections are rich in original manuscripts, editions, and secondary research materials.
